WESTMEAD SHOPPING VILLAGE
First Point Projects is proud to be involved in the early planning stages of the potential redevelopment of Westmead Shopping Village. Having held a close association with the Village for many years First Point is spearheading the redevelopment of the Centre with a Planning Proposal currently before Council. It is anticipated that a Development Application will be lodged in the 2016-2017 Financial Year.
The redevelopment will comprise a mixed use building including on-site car parking, retail, medical / commercial areas, hotel and residential uses. As part of the works, a through-site link will be provided connecting the Railway Station to Hawkesbury Road with a landscaped outdoor area providing a tranquil oasis in the midst of a bustling precinct.
It is an appropriate time to redevelop the site and provide an iconic building as the Gateway to the Westmead Medical Precinct. Its location directly across the road from the Westmead Railway Station and a short walk to Westmead Hospital will provide a destination in Westmead to complement the current government infrastructure spending recently announced in the NSW Budget 2015.
